The GPS-GSM-UHF Ibis collar is designed for birds suited to neck-collar style markers.  The units provide maximum flexibility to researchers.  They are designed to collect GSP locations and to relay those to researchers over the telecommunications network when it is available or directly to a handheld or fixed receiver.  Each unit runs multiple systems simultaneously.
